Five very different spaces across one farm — barns for two, a family barn and a hilltop yurt. A short, honest guide to picking the right one.
We have five spaces at Borough Farm, and people often ask which one they should book. The honest answer is that it depends on who you're travelling with and the kind of quiet you're after — so here's the version we'd give you across the kitchen table.
The Shippon is the calm one: a king-sized bed, a picture window onto the courtyard, a roll-top bath and a private fire pit. The Granary is the romantic one, with a king-size oak bed under a glass apex so you can watch the stars from bed. Both suit couples who want to slow all the way down.
The Dairy is our single-storey barn — everything on the ground floor, a wide wet room, and wheelchair ramps available. It connects to the neighbouring barns, so it also works when a family wants to be close but keep their own space. There's more in our accessible stay guide.
The Yard has room for children and the paraphernalia that comes with them, and sits alongside the other barns for easy connecting. Booked together, the barns and the yurt take the whole farm up to thirteen people.
Great Links, our hilltop yurt, is for couples who want canvas, a wood-fired hot tub and sunrise over Brentor from their own paddock. It's the most adventurous way to stay, and the one people talk about longest afterwards.
This is a working farm, so there's uneven ground in places and livestock nearby — part of the charm, but worth knowing. Tell us who's coming and what you need when you enquire, and we'll point you at the right space. Or just check availability and see what's free.
