Borough Farm sits in West Devon between Dartmoor and the Tamar Valley, with North Cornwall's coast within reach. Julia's recommendations below are the ones she gives across the kitchen table — ask her for door-to-door timings when you book.

Western Dartmoor rises on the farm's horizon — from Great Links' paddock you can see Brentor's church on its volcanic outcrop. Julia keeps OS maps and walking guides, and marks up routes to fit your legs and the weather.

Julia's own suppliers are the shortlist: Warrens, the award-winning butcher in Launceston; sourdough from Tom at Coombeshead; bread and milk from Strawberry Fields; plus Devon tea, local honey and Endsleigh Gardens in the next village.

Field paths, quiet lanes and moorland walking straight from the yard — with Alba the farm Labrador to show yours how it's done. Adult, gentle dogs only, for the flock's sake.
We ask guests to explore under Leave No Trace principles — on the farm and beyond it. On the moor: keep dogs on leads near livestock and ground-nesting birds, close gates, take your litter home, and respect the weather, which is bigger than you.
Julia keeps OS maps, walking guides and a nature library for guests — plus wetsuits and surfboards to borrow for the coast, on a charity donation.

Days out are better when the coming home is this good.
